Web accessibility

Wedding planning, open to everyone.

We want every couple, guest and vendor to be able to use ShaadiGhar, whatever their ability or device. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we aim for

Keyboard navigation

We aim for menus, forms, buttons and dialogs to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.

Colour contrast

We aim for text and controls to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.

Screen readers

We aim for controls to have accessible names, images to have alternative text, and pages to use a clear heading structure.

Touch targets

We aim for buttons and links to be comfortable to tap on phones.

Reduced motion

We aim to reduce animation when your device asks for less motion.

Resizable text

We aim for pages to reflow when you zoom in.

Known limitations

  • Signed-in dashboards and some older pages may not yet meet all of the above. Known gaps include keyboard access to some drop-down menus, a visible focus outline on some form fields, and reduced-motion handling for some animations and smooth scrolling.
  • Some photos uploaded by vendors and couples may not have descriptive alternative text.
  • Some third-party embeds, such as maps and videos, may not fully meet our standard.

We are working through these and aim to check accessibility as we build new features. Last reviewed: 18 October 2026.
